Amsterdam: Connectment on the Road

At Connectment, hard work and dedication are always rewarded, and this year’s successful achievement of our Quarter 1 target was no exception. Our team efforts paid off, and as a well-deserved treat, our boss took us on a great trip to Amsterdam.
Friday Evening: A Chilled Start at a Local Bar
Upon arriving in Amsterdam on Friday, we wasted no time in kicking off our adventure. We started with a laid-back evening outside a charming local bar. The city’s friendly ambience immediately embraced us, and we savoured the opportunity to unwind, share stories, and laugh together. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the weekend.
Saturday Morning: Girls’ Day Out at Pink Beach
Saturday brought us two distinct adventures.
First, the team met up at Beans & Bagels, a tasty Bagel cafe filled with a range of different, you guessed it, bagels! After a few drinks the night before, this was exactly what we all needed to take on the day ahead!
After a quick breakfast and a freshly made coffee, it was time to go our separate ways.
The girls were especially thrilled to head over to Pink Beach, a unique and whimsical beach covered in all things pink and Barbie themed. Similar to our trip to Cali Dreams in Dusseldorf last year, Pink Beach was the perfect place for some fantastic photo opportunities!
After basking in the pink paradise and the gorgeous sun, we enjoyed a lovely brunch paired with plenty of refreshing mimosas—a delightful way to start the day.
Saturday Morning: Boys’ Expedition in the City Centre
Meanwhile, the boys set out to explore the vibrant heart of Amsterdam. They navigated the canals and historic streets, and admired the city’s beauty. Of course, no trip to Amsterdam is complete without a few pints at some traditional pubs alongside the canal. The boys certainly had a great time whilst the girls were away!
Saturday Afternoon: Uniting for a Canal Tour
In the afternoon, it was time for all of us to come together and embark on a memorable canal tour. Cruising along Amsterdam’s iconic canals, we marvelled at the picturesque scenery and listened to our lovely tour guide discuss the interesting history. Sitting back on the canal-boat, we enjoyed ice-cold beverages and relaxed in the mid-20-degree heat.
Unfortunately, the sun didn’t last long! We were caught in a sudden rain shower during our canal tour. But we didn’t let the weather dampen our spirits! Instead, we took shelter in a local bar whilst we waited for the rain to stop.
Saturday Evening: Feasting at Food Hallen
With appetites worked up, we headed to the renowned Food Hallen—a food lover’s paradise! Inside this venue, we were met with a plethora of mouth-watering dishes and cuisines from around the world. From gourmet burgers to delicious sushi, there was something to satisfy everyone.
Saturday Evening: Nightlife and Cheers
After indulging in an array of delicious foods, we returned to our hotel to freshen up before venturing back out for the night. Amsterdam’s vibrant nightlife did not disappoint, and we found ourselves back at our favourite local bar, sinking a few drinks before the night was over. It was a night of laughter and a perfect way to conclude our trip.
Conclusion
Our Connectment trip to Amsterdam was a resounding success, with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. We’re very much looking forward to hitting our next target so we can do it all over again!
