The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially focused Senior Account Director with a demonstrable track record of delivering results to lead and progress some of their agency’s largest accounts.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual with experience of overseeing complex technical projects. Their ideal candidate will bring gravitas and enthusiasm to the role, working persuasively with senior stakeholders’ client-side to understand business objectives and deliver strategic plans that add value and drive growth.

Key responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful individual would be but no limited to:

  • Following a number of significant new business wins, they’re looking to bolster their Client Services team with a Senior Account Director to lead a select portfolio of high potential client relationships across Development, UX and Digital Marketing.
  • The Senior Account Director will be responsible for understanding client goals and objectives and translating these into solid plans for portfolio growth, accurately forecasting revenue to the business.
  • This role will work alongside our strategists, project leads, delivery teams and developers to deliver against these goals, ensuring that our work is of the highest quality and meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Taking full responsibility for growing revenue and driving business growth from a select portfolio of key accounts.
  • Instigating quarterly planning cycles and maintaining account plans designed to deliver added value to the client and growth to the agency.
  • Building strong, productive senior-level relationships client-side based on trust and performance.
  • Liaising closely with the strategy team to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Working closely with project directors to ensure that work is being delivered on time and to budget.
  • Directing the estimation of new work and writing compelling proposals to client briefs
  • Ensuring that the agency delivers outstanding service to client portfolio, taking responsibility for the quality of work carried out.
  • Accurately forecasting client revenue and reporting results to the Group Account Director
  • Feeding into new business pitch process on specific areas of expertise.
  • Mentoring and guiding more junior members of the Client Services team to promote a culture of commercial success.

The Candidate:

The successful Senior Account Director will be/have:

  • Be a brilliant and inspiring communicator with a commercial mindset
  • Be adept at building relationships with senior figures and teasing out insights about where the agency’s services can be best utilised to deliver client success
  • You’ll be at Account Director level or above with around 8+ years of agency experience
  • Come with a proven track-record of delivering results for enterprise level clients on complex technical projects and web builds
  • See yourself as a professional in client relationship management working with senior stakeholders in enterprise-level organisations
  • Have a background in complex technical projects and web builds (ideal would be using Sitecore, Drupal or Umbraco CMS)
  • Demonstrable experience in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and growing existing accounts to profitability
  • Experience of writing and winning high value proposals, RFPs and being involved in face-to- face pitches
  • Familiarity with selling SEO and Digital Marketing services
  • Comfortable developing strategic plans for accounts
  • Talented for building strong and lasting stakeholder relationships up to c-suite level
  • Flair for pitching and winning client trust
  • Commercially minded, able to spot potential opportunities for short term and long-term revenue, ensuring potential opportunities are profitable for the business
