Group Finance Executive

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:

• Primarily you will support internal and external group reporting including statutory and PLC reporting.
• In addition, the role will perform some project accounting and consolidation of overseas entities as well as involvement in local compliance aspects of overseas entities within the group – (including China and Middle East).
• You will be responsible for undertaking the month end accounting processes for their China entity, which is the largest subsidiary within the Group.
• You will take a strong lead during audit period and will therefore show your previous audit experience to demonstrate this.
• You will have a very strong technical accounting experience and will work closely with the finance team to understandably share and enhance their technical ability.

The Candidate:

The successful Group Finance Executive will be/have:

• Be a Qualified Accountant (either ACA/ACCA) and come from practice background.
• This is a great opportunity for somebody looking to take their first step into industry or have spent an initial period of time within industry already.
• You will have the now how, on how to consolidate an overseas subsidiary using a different functional currency to the group and understand the impacts on the profit & loss account and balance sheet.
• Come with a positive mindset and a “can do” attitude to work
• Comfortable with Group reporting/IFRS and Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15)
• Great if you have experience of Sage 200, but definitely not essential
• Be a competent user of Microsoft Excel – (Intermediate to Advanced, but not Macros)
• There will be a little travel involved, so an ability to travel independently is important.
