Duties
Key account management – developing and maintaining key account management plans for key UK players in the market. Identify all contracts of interest to my client with current holders, their performance, framework values, renewals dates
Targeting – Identifying the key players in the client, gathering and analysing data, identifying client hot buttons & price ceilings and then developing value propositions and a win strategy that makes the client offer so compelling they can’t so no. Even to the point of collaborating with the Client and influencing the tender in our solution’s favour.
Marketing – be active in getting our message out, raising our profile, clarifying our value propositions and reinforcing the company brand.
Corporate hospitality – carry out a managed programme of hospitality/entertainment events that are targeted to the right people and the sort of events they can accept under any ABC restrictions.
Market developments – keep abreast of market developments like ED2, DNO to DSO transition, electric vehicle charging, embedded generation, flexibility services in DNOs and advise the Board
Bid Management – Liaison with board, develop win strategy, arrange and chair kick off meeting and bid reviews, prepare bid plan, prepare bidder comparison matrix, monitor and expedite progress.
The Person
- Proven track record of successful bid leadership
- Can gain respect and establish credibility with senior level procurement, commercial and engineering staff
- Builds effective internal relationships for mobilising support for bids
- Builds effective external relationships for acquiring intelligence for growth plan
- Excellent communicator
- Ambitious and wants to be part of the succession plan
- Self-motivated, tenacious and driven to succeed
